Does anyone have a good salmon recipe? I'm stepping out of the box and cooking fish for dinner tonight :)

  1. Ooh, actually yes, except I don't really have a "recipe" for it so to speak so I'm not sure if you're going to want to give this a try!

So, I make it in foil on the BBQ - season it up first, then make a sauce out of mayo, brown sugar, lemon and lemon zest (to taste, suggest less mayo, more lemon/zest), keep some of the sauce aside for later, but otherwise baste the salmon in it. Cook until it's cooked. Add more sauce to taste. :-)

(Worst attempt at conveying an actual recipe ever?)

  3. Super delicious - I just wish I could estimate actual amounts??? Usually I make it to taste and end up with extra sauce as I keep adjusting to get it where I want it, someday I should probably actually write down how much of each thing I end up using though... the zest is totally key though!

  4. ya i need exact measurements since i'm new-ish to cooking. i'm too afraid to just throw in whatever since i'm not sure what will taste good or not. lemon sounds gooooood. i made this Rachel Ray dish last week that used zest in the sauce. i should post on here!
